I made these terrariums when it rained all last weekend. Scott bought me a terrarium for my birthday and I had some trouble keeping the plants alive but found out it was because I needed to put charcoal under the soil to clean the air. You put rocks in first for drainage, then charcoal, and then soil. Then add plants and put the dome on top. It becomes its own little self-watering ecosystem.
